2010 World Cup draw details

The draw for the 2010 World Cup groups will take place on 4th December 2009 in Cape Town.

2/12/09  England seeded for World Cup draw - There was huge relief for England fans earlier today as it was revealed that England have made it into the seeded Pot 1 for Friday's draw. Joining the hosts South Africa, Pot 1 will also include Argentina, Brazil, Holland, Italy, Germany and Spain. According to FIFA rankings, The Cheating French and Portugal could have been seeded but their poor performances in qualifying mean they could face England in the group stages.

Pot 1 (seeds): ENGLAND, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Holland, Italy, Germany, Spain

Pot 2: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Honduras, Mexico, USA, New Zealand

Pot 3: Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria

Pot 4: Denmark, The Cheating French, Greece, Serbia, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland
